Modern Vision Correction

What is Evo ICL?

EVO ICL is an implantable lens option designed to correct nearsightedness and, in many cases, astigmatism. The lens is placed behind the iris and in front of your natural lens, and it’s made from a biocompatible material called Collamer.

Because it doesn’t reshape the cornea, EVO ICL may be a good fit for some people who aren’t ideal candidates for laser vision correction, such as patients with certain dry eye concerns. Results and candidacy vary, and your surgeon will confirm whether it’s right for you.

EVO ICL is indicated to correct nearsightedness from -3.00 to -20.00 diopters, and 1.00 to 4.00 diopters of astigmatism (for appropriate candidates).

“EVO ICL lens has helped me live life to the fullest with no more hesitation. I simply wake up and go about my day.”

-Joe Jonas

Find Out if You’re a Candidate

Getting Started

The first step is a consultation to see if you’re a good candidate for EVO ICL. Your surgeon will review your vision goals and perform detailed measurements of your eyes, such as prescription strength, corneal shape, and the space inside the eye to determine whether EVO ICL is the right fit.

If you qualify, they’ll recommend the best lens option for your prescription (including options for astigmatism) and walk you through what to expect, pricing, and next steps.

Quality of Visual Excellence – High-Definition Vision

EVO ICL is designed to deliver clear, high-definition vision for the right candidates. Many patients report crisp, vivid vision and a strong overall quality of vision after the lens is implanted.

Compared with some laser vision correction approaches, some patients may experience differences in visual quality such as fewer certain visual distortions (often described clinically as higher-order aberrations). Results vary by person, and the best procedure depends on your eyes, your prescription, and your goals. Many patients notice vision improvements quickly, with continued refinement as the eyes heal.

What Happens During the EVO ICL Procedure?

On procedure day, numbing drops are used to help keep you comfortable. A surgeon typically begins with a brief pre-procedure step and then makes small, precise incisions to insert the EVO ICL lens. The lens is positioned behind the iris and in front of the eye’s natural lens.

The procedure is usually done one eye at a time, and many patients are surprised by how quick it feels. Afterward, you’ll use prescribed eye drops and may be given additional medication as directed by your surgeon. A follow-up visit is commonly scheduled the next day. Because vision may be adjusting, plan to have someone drive you home safely.
